flor
come out. you're hiding.
Fueled By Ramen

flor is the project of vocalist Zachary Grace, bassist Dylan William, guitarist McKinley Kitts, and drummer Kyle Hill. The band got its start in Hood River, Oregon, when Grace began experimenting with synth sounds that Willam would later craft into songs. After moving to Los Angeles, William established himself as a producer working with the likes of up-and-coming superstar, Halsey, while working on the songs that would become flor’s debut long-player, come out. you're hiding, which expertly blending indie rock and synth pop into bangers with atmospheric hooks.
Free Throw
Bear Your Mind
Triple Crown

Nashville's Free Throw has never abandoned the basement grit that characterized their DIY beginnings combining a sound of raw unfiltered energy, anthemic songs with bold choruses ready for a sing-along. Their debut full length, Those Days Are Gone, put them on a relentless touring schedule that included appearances at Fest and tours with Sorority Noise, Tiny Moving Parts, You Blew It and more. Late in 2015 the band headed into Barbershop Studios with Brett Romnes (I Am the Avalanche, Sorority Noise) to record Days’ follow-up, Bear Your Mind.

Miles Mosley
UPRISING
Verve

Los Angeles-based upright bass virtuoso and composer Miles Mosley's new album Uprising features the collective Miles co-founded, the West Coast Get Down – a family of musicians he helped bring together during their formative years. Miles and company blend into a unified system of brilliant luminance throughout. Kamasi WashingtonRyan Porter, Zane Musa, Dontae Winslow and the other L.A. horn players shout from the mountain tops; Brandon Coleman brings unrelenting funk on vintage keys; Cameron Graves displays his ethereal piano virtuosity, and Tony Austin holds it down with equal measure on drums.
TIGERS JAW
spin
Atlantic

Tigers Jaw's fifth full-length, Spin, marks a new chapter for the Scranton, PA-based indie rockers. Not only is it the first collection of songs that was completely written and recorded solely by Ben Walsh and Brianna Collins, but it was also the first time they had a full month in the studio without having to worry about outside responsibilities. From the sweetly syncopated, fuzzed-out bliss of the opener "Follows" to the mid-tempo melodicism of "June" and liltingly lovely ballad "Bullet," Spin is a winner!

Bria Skonberg
With A Twist
Sony Masterworks

Wielding a unique blend of modern-day pop sensibility and sizzling musicianship, Canadian singer, trumpeter, and songwriter Bria Skonberg aims for a sense of allure on the new album, With a Twist.  Curious and exotic, playing with tension and storytelling, this 13-track set includes ’20s and ’30s numbers (“High Hat, Trumpet, and Rhythm,” “Cocktails for Two,”), midcentury pieces (“Alright, Okay, You Win,” “It’s Oh So Quiet” (as covered by Björk), “Whatever Lola Wants,” “Sway”); Leonard Cohen’s modern classic “Dance Me to the End of Love” and much more.
Bokante
Strange Circles
GroundUP

The word Bokanté means “exchange” in Creole, the language of vocalist Malika Tirolien’s youth growing up on the Caribbean island of Guadeloupe. Now living in Montreal, she stands among 8 musicians from 4 continents, each one well-versed in music far beyond their point of origin – including Snarky Puppy guitarists Michael League, Chris McQueen, and Bob Lanzetti, pedal and lap steel virtuoso Roosevelt Collier (Lee Boys, Karl Denson), and percussionists André Ferrari (Väsen), Jamey Haddad (Paul Simon), and Keita Ogawa (Banda Magda, Yo-Yo Ma) – to create a diverse ensemble rich in groove, melody, and soul.

John Trudell
ada Grafitti Man
Inside

AKA Graffiti Man is the iconic 1992 album by Native American activist John Trudell. On February 11, 1979, he burned an American flag on the steps of the F.B.I. building in Washington D.C in protest of the treatment of Native Americans. 12 hours later, a fire "of suspicious origin" burned down Trudell's home, killing his pregnant wife, their three children and her mother. After the fire, Trudell turned his tears into this album, which was quickly championed by Bob Dylan and the Grateful Dead, who played the album during intermissions on their summer tour together.
Jaymes Young
Feel Something
Atlantic

Jaymes Young will assure you that he's a "songwriter before a singer and performer." That wise and self-aware summation cuts to the core of who the Seattle-born and Los Angeles-based musician/poet really is. He still spends countless hours holed up in his bedroom carefully piecing together compositions, penning lyrics, and exploring sounds. His musical wanderlust yields a sound steeped in pop palatability, dusky cinematic electronics, and stark, stirring instrumentation. He sharpens that signature style on his 2017 full-length debut, Feel Something.

Russ
There's Really A Wolf
Columbia

At the age of 23, Russ has emerged as a DIY pioneer. Bouncing around before finally settling outside of Atlanta, he developed an intuitive knack for crafting beats at an early age. Since 2011 he has made eleven albums and produces, mixes, masters, engineers and writes his own music. Established in 2014, his Soundcloud page has garnered more than 200 million listens. Russ has already drawn comparisons to incredible artists such as Drake, G-Eazy, Bryson Tiller, Post Malone and Logic, but his major-label debut, There’s Really a Wolf, is proof positive that Russ has a style and vision all his own.
The profound influence of Chuck Berry, the father of rock & roll, cannot be overstated. Like Picasso, Elvis, and Einstein, he is one of the great geniuses of the 20th century – his art changed not only popular music, but the culture around it. Without him we wouldn’t have The Beatles. Or The Rolling Stones. Or the Sex Pistols. Without him we wouldn’t have Rock and Roll. When we lost him in this past March, he was still touring the world --- he was also readying his first album in nearly 40 years, which is comprised mostly of new, original songs written, recorded and produced by the legend himself. Chuck was recorded in various studios around St. Louis and features Berry's longtime hometown backing group - including his children Charles Berry Jr. (guitar) and Ingrid Berry (harmonica), plus Jimmy Marsala (Berry's bassist of forty years), Robert Lohr (piano), and Keith Robinson (drums) - which has supported him for over two decades on over two hundred residency shows at the famed Blueberry Hill club. "This record is dedicated to my beloved Toddy," said Berry, referring to his wife of 68 years, Themetta Berry. "My darlin' I'm growing old! I've worked on this record for a long time. Now I can hang up my shoes!" Hail, hail, Rock and Roll!.

Cheap Trick are an indisputable American institution, beloved around the globe since 1974 for their instantly identifiable, hugely influential, brand of pop rock ‘n’ roll. The band are true pioneers with an unparalleled streak of certifiably classic tunes, from “He’s A Whore,” “California Man” and “Dream Police” to “Surrender,” “I Want You To Want Me” and the worldwide No. 1 hit single, “The Flame.” Like all Power Pop greats, Cheap Trick has a rabid cult of fans who both revere the band’s music and their underdog status – even though these underdogs have sold over 20 million records and have played 5,000 shows (and counting). Well known as road dogs, their recording output had slowed down until recently. Last year’s Bang, Zoom, Crazy...Hello was Cheap Trick’s first album in seven years. The band’s new album, We're All Alright! marks the first time in more than 20 years the group has released albums in consecutive years, since the one-two punch of Standing On The Edge and The Doctor in 1985 and 1986, respectively. We're All Alright! Bridges Cheap Trick’s past and present, with older, previously unrecorded songs such as "Radio Lover," "Lolita" and "She's Alright" sitting alongside brand new rockers. And, yes, they’re coming to a town near you! Elo kiddies!
